HOW DOES IT WORK?
Photoepilation is a hair removal procedure by using intense pulsed light over a specific area for a short time, heating the hair follicle to avoid it from growing.

WHAT DOES A SESSION INVOLVE?
We shave and clean the area to remove any product remaining (cream, perfume, or any impurity) and we apply a transparent gel to protect the skin and conduct the light. Before delivering the light pulses, we will provide safety glasses to protect your eyes. Afterwards we will remove the protective gel.
During the following two weeks the segment of hair under the skin will grow and detach by itself.
HOW MANY SESSIONS ARE NECESSARY? WHAT’S THE FREQUENCY?
The number of sessions varies depending on the age, gender, hormonal balance and consistency of the treatment. In general, for a body hair removal you need an average between 4 and 8 sessions, and for a facial hair removal you need in average between 6 and 8 sessions. The interval between sessions depends on the treated area, varying between 4 and 6 weeks.
WHAT DO YOU FEEL?
During the session it can be a little uncomfortable due to the new contact skin-cooling system which reduces the skin temperature to -4 degrees. No anesthetic is required prior to application.
ARE THERE ANY SIDE-EFFECTS?
It’s not common to have side-effects with photoepilation. In some cases a mild redness may appear, similar to the one when using wax, which disappears in a few hours and does not leave any signs.
Sun exposure should be avoided 10 days prior to treatment and 10 days after the treatment.
WHAT RESULTS CAN I EXPECT?
From the very first session hair density is reduced. Our photoepilation treatment has shown to be efficient in removing hair in any area for men and women.
Depending on the age, gender, hormonal balance and body area to be treated one or two sessions will be required every year for maintenance.
